The CA compliant Springfield TRP BLK 45ACP is the production version of the famous Professional model designed specifically for special operations forces in the FBI.

The Tactical Response Pistol (TRP) was originally brought to life for the hostage rescue teams in the FBI who needed a 1911 based pistol that would be chambered in the coveted 45ACP cartridge and be able to deliver rounds down range all day, every day without hiccup. The Springfield TRP BLK 45ACP did all that and more when all the other competition failed.

Founded in 1777, the original firearms manufacturer for the United States, Springfield Armory has been producing weapons for military, police, and civilians align since the creation of this great nation as a whole. With the history of the gun comes the legend of the 1911. Originally designed by John Browning in the early 1900s and adopted by the US military in 1911, the 1911 platform had one job; fire the 45ACP slug and serve its country. It did so for over 100 years and is still in service today. The TRP is one of the greatest and most advanced versions of the models design that is still being utilized by police and some military forces around the world.

This particular Springfield TRP is finished in Armory Kote black and is made to withstand severe use and abuse in the field. This model also comes with the serrations on the front and back of the grip in order for the shooter to better control the firearm during shooting. Sights on this TRP model are Tritium night sights and glow in the dark giving the operator the edge in the night.
