Upon special request by the Marine Corps, the design and function of the CA compliant Springfield MC Operator 45ACP was catered to the needs of the Special Operations Forces who requested it.

The Marine Corps wanted a handgun to be put in their arsenal that would be, again, chambered in the 45ACP round as it delivers a level of stopping power and effectiveness that the 9MM round could not. Upon their request, Springfield Armory specially designed the MC Operator for them. What Springfield did was take the 1911 Loaded and give it to their famous tuners who took this combat firearm to the next level.

Founded in 1777, the original firearms manufacturer for the United States, Springfield Armory has been producing weapons for military, police, and civilians alike since the creation of this great nation as a whole. With the history of the gun comes the legend of the 1911. Originally designed by John Browning in the early 1900s and adopted by the US military in 1911, the 1911 platform had one job; fire the 45ACP slug and serve its country. It did so for over 100 years and is still in service today. The MC Operator follows the legacy of the 1911 and US military service!

Springfield MC Operator is finished in two tone cerakote finish with the top being black and the lower being OD green. This model also comes with the serrations on the front and back of the grip in order for the shooter to better control the firearm during shooting. Sights on the MC model are Tritium night sights and glow in the dark giving the operator the edge in the night.
